Summer Camps for 2019 have ended. Keep an eye out for next years Summer Camp offerings!

Each summer the Baker County YMCA offers a variety of summer programs. What is available each summer depends on staff and other resources, but generally includes Sports (basketball, soccer, and volleyball), STEAM, Video Production, and Wee Learn & Grow. The information about summer camps is usually released to the public by May of each year.

Itty BittySoccer

Age 4   Sports Camp

In Itty Bitty, we strive to bring about the love of the game for our little guys and gals through fun and encouraging game playing.  Kids will learn techniques that will grow their knowledge of soccer and begin to develop a few skills for the sport.  Coaches will conduct fun practices and games throughout the duration of the season.

Volleyball

Ages 8-10 & 11-12   Sports Camp

Campers are supported and challenged by our coaches to learn new skills and improve existing ones through drills, competition, and instruction. We offer progressive training techniques for all skill levels, position specific training, and training with personal feedback.

Gymnastics

Ages 5-7 & 8-11   Advanced Class by invitation only

Campers are supported and challenged to learn new skills flipping, tumbling and rolling through this dynamic Gymnastics camp.

Wee Learn & Grow

Ages 2-3 & 4-5     Day Camp

Wee Learn and Grow Day Camp will focus on helping your child have fun, learn, grow, and socialize with other children their age. This camp will be incredibly active and engaging. This camp is designed to keep campers moving, smiling and having a great time! Wee Learn & Grow will be held at the Fitness Center on Pocahontas Rd.

Art, Music & Photography

Ages 6-11   Day Camp

During this informative / interactive day camp your child will make and learn how to use: Musical instruments, pencil drawings, painting, pastels, and photography. They will also be building relationships through movement and play. Each day includes hands on activities in the morning at the Fitness Center on Pocahontas, and then we will bus to the Church Street gymnasium for a P.E. session. We will walk to the Geiser Pollman Park for lunch and end at the Sam-O-Swim center for open swim.

Bowling

Ages 8-13   Day Camp

With this camp kids will learn how to adjust to the changing conditions of high level competition and the basics of the game.  This camp includes 4 days of interactive training with our bowling coaches.

Field Trip

Ages 6-11   Day Camp

Take trips to some of your favorite places! Our destinations will be Piazanos Pizza, the Museum, the Interpretive Center, and the Baker County Fair! During this field trip camp your child will make their own pizza, learn the hardships of the pioneer people, and visit the fair. What could you exhibit? Each day includes hands on activities in the morning at the Fitness Center on Pocahontas, and then we will bus to the Church Street gymnasium for a P.E. session. We will walk to the Geiser Pollman Park for lunch and end at the Sam-O-Swim center for open swim.

Outdoor

Ages 9-13   Day Camp

Learn outdoor safety and survival skills, archery, hiking, tracking, scavenger hunts, map reading, and much more! During this informative / interactive camp your child will hike to Hoffer Lake, learn archery at Anthony Lakes, go scavenger hunting at Pilcher Creek, and learn how to make their own survival kit.

Plants and Things

Ages 6-11   Day Camp

Learn the science behind growing plants indoors, outdoors, and in greenhouses. Plant your own herbs, vegetables, and flowers to take home. Camp will include a trip to Phillips Park to look and learn about native plants. During this informative / interactive day camp your child will make: Garden stones, bird feeders, fairy garden, mini greenhouses, clay pots, and many more things. Each day includes hands on activities in the morning at the Fitness Center on Pocahontas, and then we will bus to the Church Street gymnasium for a P.E. session. We will walk to the Geiser Pollman Park for lunch and end at the Sam-O-Swim center for open swim.
