YMCA CEO Announces Departure
Baker County YMCA – August, 2018
Chief Executive Officer Heidi Dalton announced her decision to conclude her tenure as CEO of the Baker County YMCA, effective September 30, 2018. Dalton has served the Baker County YMCA association for the last six years.
Heidi is recognized within the YMCA family as an exceptional YMCA executive. She initially accepted the CEO role as an interim position with the goals of stabilizing the organization financially, organizing the Y’s personnel and policies, increasing operational effectiveness, and constructing the new Fitness and Education Center. Part way into her first year as interim CEO, the YMCA was fortunate to have Heidi accept the role of full-time CEO.
The board of directors are extremely grateful to Heidi for her commitment to the YMCA and to our community over the past six years. Her passion for the YMCA and positive impact on each of us has been inspiring. We wish Heidi the best in her future and know she will bring her YMCA commitment into her next pursuit in life.
A search committee for a new CEO has been appointed and they are currently in the process of finding Baker County’s next great YMCA leader.
We will be calling for submissions from potential CEO applicants in the near future. Check this page regularly for updates.
The Y: For a Better Us
Strengthening community is our cause. There is no other nonprofit quite like the Y. In Baker County, the Y has the presence and partnerships not just to promise, but to deliver, lasting personal and social change. For more than four decades, the Baker County YMCA has served the children, adults, and families of Baker County and surrounding communities. It is a place for people of all ages to come together and improve their quality of life. Strong communities don’t just happen. They’re the result of steady leadership and stewardship of strong values. We make a difference by focusing on three key areas: youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. By investing in our kids, our health and our neighbors, the Baker County YMCA ensures that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to thrive.
