3rd-6th Grade Basketball

BE GOAL ORIENTED!

Youth basketball is an exciting sport combining team play and individual skills. YMCA basketball promises no try outs, no getting cut and no bench warmers! Every child plays while making friends and learning new techniques.

PRACTICES: Varies on coach.

BEGINS: End of December; Registration Deadline is December 19th. A late fee of $10 will be charged to all registrations after December 1st until December 12th. After December 12th, all registrations will be placed on a waiting list and will have NO GUARANTEE of a placement on a team. 

COST: $45 for members; $65 for non-members. Scholarships are available and must be applied for at least two weeks before the registration deadline (November 28th).

WHERE: 2020 Church St. Gymnasium

FOCUS: YMCA utilizes volunteer coaches to focus on participation and fun! While basic skills of the game are developed through practices and games, every child learns sportsmanship and values necessary to be successful in life. Every game begins with a Youth Sports Pledge and ends with a handshake.

PROGRAM OFFERINGS: Fall-Winter

The YMCA Youth Sports Program helps kids become not only become better players, but better people as well. It’s a progressive program, with multiple age-specific levels. Every child gets to play and the games are safe, exciting and fun. We encourage fair play, positive competition, and family involvement.
